How did they start?
In 1987, when Canadian artist, Alice Oldland opened a small gift store and gallery in Hatley, BC, Canada, no one would have guessed that her fun, fabric designs inspired by nature and wildlife combined with clever spins on everyday sayings and popular culture designed to bring out the "pun" in everyone would become so popular.
Who are they now?
Hatley is an eco friendly company recognized all over the world as an international brand that focuses on playful, original designs inspired by nature around us. All clothing and home textiles are created from natural fibers and azo-free dyes. Hatley follows fair labour practices in the making of their products AND they also support various charities with an emphasis on the environment and health.
